I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your Mum Kat. Even though I did not get the chance to meet her hearing your stories always made me smile. She is at peace now and will always be there watching over you, Sarah and your family. All my love and prayers xx

My mum and aunt Betty's sister Cathy, kept us up to date on what was happening with our family in Australia through their regular letters. We may have been far apart but good to her about what my cousins were doing too, took the heat off of us sometimes. My mum told us of many funny stories, including when they worked in hotels together - mum had a "sense" of spooky things afoot, and if mum told aunt Betty she had a "feeling" when in a room, aunt Betty would run straight back out. I was quite young when aunt Betty visited Scotland and thats why it was so good to get her and mum on Skype for a face to face catch up and good chat with us all, before my mum sadly passed. Many happy memories through my mum, God bless aunt Betty, can just imagine you and mum having a blether and a laugh again. Love Marissa, Hugh and family xxxx

Aunt Betty was my mum Cathy's sister. She often spoke about 'Our Betty' reminiscing of their life & younger days working away as chambermaids. They had similar personalities & caring natures & and though working hard had lots of laughs too. Mum missed Betty when she emigrated to Australia with her family. She wrote to her regularly to ensure their contact was kept up. Their regular writing & later phone calls kept their relationship going until mum passed away in 2011. Just before this mum was able to see her beloved sister on skype. A long wish of hers to see her sister again. Aunt Betty was my Godmother. She came over for a visit in 1978 just before Gordon & I got married. She had a busy time visiting everyone. It was great to see her. I also kept in touch by letter keeping up to date with family here & in Australia. Aunt Betty was a great lady loved by so many. Her loss will be felt for a long time to come. Sending my thoughts from Scotland. Love always, Jane, Gordon & family xxx
